EMV in Turin: the first tests are underway
Turin, 5.20.2020 Also in Turin the introduction of payment with EMV bank cards directly at the turnstiles of the subway is approaching. The plan decided last year by GTT and, despite some delays due to the COVID-19, will become operational in July.
The new system has been developed by AEP and is based on the widespread Futura 3B validators, which will also accept all contactless tickets used so far by normal gates.
In recent weeks GTT has started field tests and the new validators are already visible to the public.
